These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Sydney Clean Pro ("we", "our", "us") to our customers ("you", "your"). By requesting an estimate or inspection, booking a service, making payment, or allowing us to commence work, you agree to these Terms.
Sydney Clean Pro provides Carpet & Mat Cleaning, Mattress Cleaning, Rug Cleaning, Curtain Cleaning, Couch Cleaning (Fabric & Leather), Flood Damage Restoration & Water Extraction, End of Lease & Complete House Cleaning, Complete Commercial Cleaning, Tile & Grout Cleaning, Carpet Repair, and Carpet Restretch. The exact scope of work will be confirmed in your quotation.
You agree not to enter any room our technician is working in, or has equipment in, while work is underway. For your safety:
We take care to deliver a thorough result, but we cannot be responsible for conditions that are not apparent on visual inspection at the time of quoting or at the start of the job. Depending on the service, this may include (but is not limited to):
Where we identify one of these conditions during the job, we will let you know before continuing, and pricing may be affected as set out in Section 6.
Estimates and inspection assessments are based on information and/or property access supplied by the customer at the time. If we visit your property to provide a written estimate or inspection, that assessment remains valid for 7 days. A return visit to re-estimate or re-inspect the same job beyond this period may incur a call-out and inspection charge of $120.00.
If the condition of the property or item differs materially from what was described at the time of quoting or inspection — for example, significantly heavier soiling, additional stains, a larger affected area, or additional damage not previously disclosed — we reserve the right to either adjust the price to reflect the extra work, or, if you choose not to proceed, charge a reasonable fee to cover the attendance.
Estimates provided over the phone or online are always subject to confirmation on inspection, as exact pricing depends on the condition and size of the area to be treated.
Payment is due on completion of service unless other arrangements have been agreed in advance.
Unless otherwise agreed:
Surcharges may apply for weekend, after-hours, or public holiday bookings, jobs in multi-level apartment buildings, jobs requiring more than one technician, or where suitable parking is not available nearby. Any applicable surcharge will be communicated before the job is confirmed where reasonably possible. It is your responsibility to arrange suitable access and parking; additional costs arising from a lack of access may be added to your invoice.
Pricing is based on room and mat size and the condition of the item as assessed at the time of quoting or inspection. Heavily soiled carpet, pet stains, or unusual contamination may incur an additional charge, which will be discussed with you before proceeding. We cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains — some staining, particularly from caustics, acids, dyes, or contamination that has set over a long period, may be permanent regardless of the method used.
We cannot guarantee complete removal of all staining or odour, particularly where a stain has set over an extended period or has been previously treated with other products. Bodily fluids and deep-set staining may not be fully removable.
Rug cleaning method is determined by material (wool, synthetic, or natural fibre). Natural fibre rugs may hold staining permanently due to the nature of the fibres, and dyes in some rugs may be unstable, which can affect colourfastness during cleaning. We take reasonable precautions but cannot be responsible for pre-existing dye instability, and some natural fibre rugs carry an inherent risk of shrinkage or shape change after washing.
Curtain cleaning is carried out on-site using a method suited to the fabric. Pricing and method are confirmed on inspection, as fabric type, weight, and fixture affect both. We are not responsible for pre-existing fading, fabric weakness, or trims/linings that are not apparent until cleaning begins.
Pricing is based on the type, size, and condition of the item and the material (fabric or leather). Leather items and items requiring specialist handling may incur an additional charge. As with carpet, we cannot guarantee removal of all stains, particularly older or previously treated staining.
Outcomes for water-affected carpet, flooring, and materials depend heavily on the water source, duration of exposure, and material type — all of which are assessed on inspection, not guaranteed in advance. We are not responsible for mould, structural, or material damage that has already occurred prior to our attendance, or for damage that continues to develop due to delays outside our control (including delays in gaining access or in insurer approval). Any documentation we provide for insurance purposes is a record of the work carried out, not a certification of insurance coverage or claim outcome.
Our end of lease service follows a standard checklist covering kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, floors, and fixtures; the exact scope is confirmed in your estimate or inspection. We are not responsible for the outcome of a third-party inspection (e.g. by a real estate agent or landlord), as inspection standards vary and are outside our control. If you believe part of the agreed service was not completed to the standard estimated, notify us within 24 hours and we will assess the issue.
Commercial pricing and scope are confirmed by inspection or walkthrough, given the variation in site size, layout, and requirements. Recurring commercial contracts are subject to separate agreed terms regarding frequency, invoicing, and access, which will be set out in your service agreement.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions not apparent on inspection, including loose, cracked, or chipped tiles, missing or damaged grout, UV fading, or pre-existing staining that has penetrated below the surface. When cleaning natural stone (marble, travertine, limestone, etc.), the process removes built-up oils, detergents, and contaminants from the surface — this can reveal the stone's natural finish, which is sometimes duller than its contaminated appearance. This is not damage caused by our service. If grout sealing is included in your service, this is a protective treatment, not a permanent outcome — its effectiveness depends on ongoing care, foot traffic, and moisture exposure in the treated area.
Repairs are carried out using the best available matching carpet or materials. Depending on the age, dye lot, and availability of matching carpet, an exact colour or pile match may not always be achievable, and this will be discussed with you before work proceeds. We are not responsible for pre-existing underlay conditions or subfloor issues unrelated to the specific repair.
Restretching addresses loose, rippled, or bunched carpet by re-tensioning the existing material. It does not address separate issues such as carpet damage, wear, or underlay deterioration, which may be identified and estimated separately during the job. Environmental factors (humidity, temperature) can affect carpet tension over time regardless of the quality of the restretching work.
Any alleged damage arising from our service must be reported within 24 hours, with supporting photographs where possible. We reserve the right to inspect the property before accepting responsibility. Our liability, where applicable, is limited to the extent required by law and subject to our insurance policy terms.
Please advise us before the job begins if any items require special handling — including antiques, artwork, natural stone, delicate flooring, specialty finishes, or valuable collectibles. Unless specifically agreed in advance, we do not undertake work on items requiring specialist restoration.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law. Where permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the affected part of the service, or refunding the amount paid for that part of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sydney Clean Pro is not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, deterioration due to age, manufacturing defects, mould, rust, permanent staining, discolouration, pre-existing scratches, damage caused by faulty fixtures, hidden defects, damage caused by third parties, or damage resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer.
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform services caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, fire, pandemics, government restrictions, transport disruptions, supplier shortages, or power outages.
Our staff may decline or pause work where unsafe conditions exist, hazardous substances are present, illegal activity is suspected, aggressive behaviour occurs, or appropriate safety requirements are not met. Cancellation fees may still apply in these circumstances.
We may take photographs before or after a job for quality assurance, insurance, or training purposes. No identifiable customer information will be published without your permission.
